Elly has worked in schools throughout the U.K and on many projects including Eastfeast and Adventures in Plastic. She ran an award winning company called The Fabulists together with storyteller Heleni Achilleos. The Outsider Storytelling project, funded by The Children's Fund, educated thousands of school children in rural Essex about the effects of bullying and racism.

From Autumn 2020 Elly will be offering Earth Tales/Adventures in Plastic to 7 – 14 years olds in Schools based near the Firth of Forth in Fife. The project will help integrate the children's experience of Coronavirus and look creatively at new ways of being, that support the future for wildlife and generations to come.

Elly worked abroad extensively running workshops for 10 – 12 year olds, their teachers and families, in Museums and Galleries as part of The Magic Pencil, an exhibition of illustrations of children's books. She worked with 10 – 12 years olds and their teachers in Mumbai, with families in Chennai, schools in Venezuela and ran training sessions for teachers in Taiwan. She also ran empowerment workshops for 16 – 18 year olds in Macedonia as part of the Blue Sky Summer School.
